I know it's a bit late to be posting our Valentine's Day festivities, but February is a busy month at our house! Here's a little run-down of our froggy fun:
This year my theme was "I Toadally Love You", so of course the day was filled with all things froggy! Here's a look at a few of the things we did!
First, I printed out this "I Toadally Love You" banner to hang on the window:
Then, I went through my spring decorations and pulled out my frogs, toadstools, and a tree disk. I have tons of grass around my house, so that made the perfect "swamp" set up. I set these up on the table and used it for my backdrop throughout the day.
For breakfast we had hot chocolate with chocolate frog stir sticks, and frog pancakes. Yes, those are supposed to be frogs. :)
I found some stuffed frogs and frog paddle toys at the dollar store. I'll buy anything for a buck. Obviously.
Then, while the kiddos were at school, I got started on some more frog fun.
Green kiwi-strawberry punch with matching adorable tags, of course.
Chocolate frogs and cute wrapped mini chocolate bars.
Chocolate frogs on green mint dipped Oreos (lily pads).
Frog cake pops. Yeah, those are frogs.
After school snack. Loved those little guys.
We also had froggy fajitas for dinner which I forgot to get pictures of. I did get a picture of our frogs eyes: deviled eggs. Followed by mint chocolate chip ice cream, and froggy cupcakes. Those were so much cuter in my head.
It turned out to be a fabulous Valentine's Day, and my kids loved all the froggy love. I love that I pulled this off without spending hardly any money. It just takes a little time and creativity to make your kids feel special, right?
Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day too!
I can't wait for next year, I have most of it already planned in my head!
